For sale is my 1.6 TDI engine, from a VW Passat. The engine came out of a 2010 model which is going down a project route, so the engine is no longer needed being the 105bhp model.

It had full service history till approx 50k recorded in the book, but i'm a qualified Mercedes technician and serviced it from thereon myself using high quality Millers engine oil. It has always been ran on Shell V Power Diesel and warmed up and cooled down properly as a turbo engine should.

The engine in its current state has 88705 miles on it, so relatively low. The cambelt and water pump was replaced in July 2015 by Johnsons VW at mileage 66980, and you can see evidence of all this in the pictures attached to the advert.

As it stands, it is a complete engine, coming with the turbo which is in great condition and no noises or oil leaks into the inlet or exhaust and never smoked. It comes with both manifolds and all ancillaries like the alternator and air con pump. The only parts it doesn't come with is the engine loom & ECU, as i figured any buyers would be doing a straight swap (failed engine for this engine).

The engine does NOT come with the gearbox. The clutch and flywheel does NOT come with the engine either as i will be selling them with the gearbox.

Apologies for the poor photos, but any viewers are welcome. Unfortunately it cannot be heard running as it is fully removed from the vehicle now, but as you can tell from the history of the vehicle, i assure you it has been looked after.
