Why use Winter Tyres?

Winter tyres have a different compound and tread pattern to regular tyres, which gives them extra grip. Summer tyres in the same conditions become harder, less 'elastic' and consequently suffer from reduced performance.

The tread pattern is designed to be self-cleaning the movement of the tread blocks squeezes out the snow so the tread doesn't get blocked up with snow.

Winter tyres are a good investment if you live in an area where you often experience heavy rain, very cold weather or snow and it is vital that you can use your car.
